Schaefer Enterprises is proud to announce in September that chief operating officer, Monika Bolkun-Robert, was feted at the Women Builders Council’s 16th Annual Champion Awards red tie reception. Monika was among a select group of women in the construction industry named as an Outstanding Woman for 2021 by the organization.
The event recognized the inspirations that have not only helped pave the way for today’s top female leaders in the construction industry, but that also continue to be advocates of a new standard of equality in the workplace.
As COO of Schaefer Enterprises, a Division of Patriot Growth Insurance Services, LLC, Ms. Bolkun-Robert is highly experienced in the construction, engineering, real estate, pharmaceutical and hospitality industries, having insured over 20 multimillion-dollar real estate developments in New York and New Jersey. She is a member of the Professional Women in Construction National Association, counseling European businesses seeking entrance to U.S. markets.
This is not the first time she has received industry recognition. Bolkun-Robert was listed by Insurance Business America as an “Elite Women” in the field of construction insurance; and she was featured in The Huffington Post’s “Women in Business.” She began her insurance career as an assistant to the president of an insurance and bonding brokerage firm on Wall Street, becoming vice president of the insurance division only two years later.
Ms. Bolkun-Robert joined Schaefer Enterprises in 2010 and has helped drive the exponential growth the firm has achieved. The company is regularly cited as one of America’s Top Private Companies and is listed in the Inc. 5000. She has an MBA in marketing and management in foreign trade from Bialystok University of Technology, Bialystok, Poland.
The Women Builders Council (WBC) is the leading association representing women in the construction industry on several important fronts: legislative advocacy, new business development and professional development, with a special focus on leadership. WBC provides a dynamic forum that advances industry knowledge, addresses the barriers that prevent women from growing and facilitates solutions for policy makers and industry leaders.
