What do you wish you knew before you started SEI and getting into the obstacles of running a business?
Greg Schaefer:
The most important thing was I wasn’t complacent where I was. I always wanted to have the boss’ job so being a secretary, I immediately realized that wasn’t a position that I enjoyed. I didn’t like sitting at a desk from 9-5. So I always aspired to be a leader and I would just try and navigate ways to get to the next level. Today, what I’ve known with SEI, is in order to succeed, you need to have smarter people than you.
