Monika Bolkun-Robert serves as the chief operating officer of Schaefer Enterprises. Bolkun-Robert began her insurance career in New York as an assistant to the president of an insurance and bonding brokerage firm on Wall Street, working her way up to become the vice president of the insurance division only two years later. In 2010, Monika joined Schaefer Enterprises and facilitated the exponential growth of the firm as partner, vice-president and most recently, as chief operating officer.
Bolkun-Robert is highly experienced with companies in the construction, engineering, real estate, pharmaceutical and hospitality industries. In construction and real estate, she has insured over twenty multi-million dollar real estate developments in New York and New Jersey. She works with her general contractor and trade contractor clients on their risk management and helps them find appropriate and affordable insurance coverage. Bolkun-Robert advocates on behalf of her clients regarding claims and loss control, and has extensive knowledge and experience to prepare applications to positively influence underwriters and capitalize on premium credits and coverage advantages.
Bolkun-Robert was listed by Insurance Business America as an “Elite Women” in the field of construction insurance. She was also featured in The Huffington Post as a notable “Women in Business” and is a member of the Professional Women in Construction National Association. In 2021, she was included on Insurance Business America’s Hot 100 list, named an Outstanding Woman at the Women Builders Council’s 16th Annual Champion Awards, and was named one of the 10 Best COOs of 2021 by Industry Era for Women Leaders.
Bolkun-Robert was born and raised in Poland and spent her summers working and studying in London, England. Today, Monika insures some of the most successful Polish-American-owned businesses in New York City and is active in the community. Monika holds an MBA in Marketing and Management in Foreign Trade from Bialystok University of Technology. Outside of the office, Monika is passionate about fashion, interior design, art and loves to travel. Monika and her husband, Carlos Robert, have two children, Gabriella and Lukas.
